Bruntwood SciTech Announced as Building Brum’s First Innovation Partner

Midlands manufacturer Unique Window Systems joins Building Brum partnership

Building Brum has announced that Unique Window Systems will join the platform as a Construction Partner for the 2026 series, further strengthening the network of organisations supporting the Midlands’ growing built environment sector.

Midlands-based Unique Window Systems is a leading manufacturer and installer of aluminium and UPVC windows, doors and curtain walling systems. The company works across residential, commercial and regeneration projects nationwide, delivering high-performance facade and fenestration solutions for contractors, developers and housing providers.

This new partnership reflects the continued momentum of development activity across the Midlands, where major projects such as Stone Yard, Port Loop and Smithgate are driving significant investment, job creation and urban regeneration.

As the region’s project pipeline expands, with Caddick targeting a £1 billion portfolio of works alongside a £300 million forward order book, this collaboration underscores the positive trajectory of construction and placemaking across the West Midlands and beyond.

Arup joins Building Brum as a series partner to mark their move to One Centenary Way at Paradise Birmingham.

With 800 staff and more than 90 specialisms offered, Arup has established its second largest base of operations in the UK and one of its five largest globally in Birmingham. The new Midlands’ office spans three floors, totalling 68,000 sq ft of space, of One Centenary Way.

With a multi-million pound investment into the move, Arup has cemented its commitment to city centre spaces and the Midlands region as a global business centre. Arup’s investment aims to bring wider economic impact through employment and other business opportunities. Returning to the city centre allows Arup to reinforce its connections with the city and the Midlands’ business community.
