Midgard secures £145m deal to build Edition Birmingham

Court Collaboration have appointed Midgard Ltd to lead the £145 million construction of Edition Birmingham, a landmark residential development in the heart of the city centre. The 581-home project features unrivalled amenities and luxury apartments across two towers, including the impressive 46-storey Centenary Tower. Construction is set to begin in the coming months, with phase one set for completion in 2027.

Edition Birmingham has already generated over £85 million in off-plan sales and will offer residents luxury wellness amenities such as a swimming pool, spa, sky gym, two-floor climbing wall, co-working spaces, and a sky lounge. The project is also expected to create 300 jobs, including 60 apprenticeships, contributing to the city's ongoing regeneration and housing growth. Cadence Projects have been appointed as Project Manager and Employers Agent on this project alongside MGAC who will be providing cost management services. SOM is providing engineering consultancy on the development, with interior design from Weedon Architects.

Alex Neale, CEO of Court Collaboration, said: “Edition Birmingham is visually stunning and will be built to the very highest standards of safety and quality. We’re very pleased to have Midgard on board as our contractor and we can now look forward to breaking ground and bringing this world-class development to Birmingham.”

Kevin Keegan, Director of JRL Group and Midgard, added: “We are delighted to be entrusted with delivering another major project in Birmingham. Edition will be a major milestone in the redevelopment of the Birmingham skyline and we are excited to be involved in such a high-quality development.”
