Careys joined Building Brum as a Construction Partner last month. With their vision of becoming the most trusted and socially responsible construction company that people are proud to work with.

Careys have already delivered a number of major schemes across the region at Selly Oak, The Bullring and Primark’s largest store in Europe in Birmingham and are currently delivering a four storey reinforced concrete frame at Heartlands Hospital for the new Ambulatory Care and Diagnostics Centre.
Bjourn Bigley, Managing Director, Careys Civil Engineering said: “We’re proud to be supporting Building Brum and the opportunity this provides to play our role in Birmingham’s re-development.”
Bjourn Bigley, Managing Director, Careys Civil Engineering at Careys:
We look forward to sharing our insights and knowledge around current developments through the solutions and services we provide and our approach to delivering award winning projects. Ultimately, we are looking forward to helping to shape and define the landscape of Birmingham and the surrounding regions for the local community and future generations by bringing our vast experience and expertise in the provision of a project’s infrastructure and all civil engineering elements, the construction of complex basements, substructures and concrete superstructures and the creation of public realm and hard landscaping.
What excites me most though is the social value that we can bring to the area through a range of schemes and initiatives. These include jobs for a local workforce and working with disadvantaged groups to provide them with employment opportunities, providing training and upskilling initiatives, working with the local supply chain and encouraging our employees to volunteer to improve local infrastructure and facilities through a series of community engagement programmes.”
Conor Nolan, Programme Director, Building Brum:
“Careys and their commitment and outlook on Birmingham and the Midlands region is incredibly positive. With the team already working on a number of key schemes helping to shape the city, their insight and contributions to the Building Brum series as a Construction Partner are very welcome. We look forward to collaborating with Tom and his Birmingham team and sharing their journey to support Birmingham as the city enters its next phase in regeneration and development.”
