Building on their success across Birmingham and the West Midlands supporting the development of landmark projects with clients from St Modwen Homes, Cole Waterhouse and HUB Developments. Building Brum partners BECG expand across the Midlands to Nottingham and appoint Rebecca Langton, Nottingham City Council Cabinet Member for Skills, Growth and Economic Development as an Associate Director to head up their expansion in the East Midlands. 

Rebecca joins the PR Week #1 Public Affairs communications consultancy as she announces her plans to step down from the council at this year’s local elections. Rebecca is an experienced communications professional, having been Director of Communications for a national charity and as an officer, councillor and Cabinet Member at Nottingham City Council. She has over 10 years of experience in local government, as well as a Masters in Public Administration.  

Rebecca has also previously held Cabinet responsibility for Communities, with a focus on community development and placemaking. Prior to serving as an elected councillor, Rebecca worked for Nottingham City Council including most recently as the Executive Officer to the Leader of the Council for three years.  

Leading the growth of BECG’s work in the region and heading up the new office based on Beck Street, Rebecca will be advising clients across the built environment to navigate the increasingly complex political environment of planning and development.

This is an exciting time for the East Midlands with a new Combined Authority set to be launched next month alongside plans for major infrastructure investment and business growth through initiatives such as the Freeport at East Midlands Airport.
